This screenprint was made by painting by hand each layer onto sheets of mark resist film (like tracing paper). All with a flat square brush – then exposing onto the screen.
The very painterly effect is one which I have been trying to achieve for a while in my monoprints but being able to expose it at just the right levels to let the detail of the brush strokes show through as a screenprint was a revelation!
Also available in greens and blues.
